Who is a better entertainer michael jackson or elvis presley?

Michael Jackson. He was a better dancer than Elvis was, and I personally think Michael was a better singer too.

Elvis is a huge legend too though. He was a great performer, but I just prefer Michael Jackson.

You forget that Elvis entertained for many years LIVE on stage in Vegas. His live shows with a backing band, backup singers and a few dancers were always packed – check out the videos – he CONNECTED with his audience and never changed from what he was: a poor boy from Tupelo.
His films (which he mostly hated) were big box office successes over many years, his albums and singles were mega sellers (I’ve walked along the corridors of Graceland and seen literally HUNDREDS of Gold and Platinum records for his work on the walls).

Jackson, in contrast made the dumb "The Wizz", is known for the carefully staged and choreographed music videos for "Thriller" and "Smooth Criminal" and others, appeared live mainly at award shows and spent most of his life trying to change from a black man to a white woman and had an increasingly bizarre private life.

Sorry but Elvis is, and will always be THE KING.

It’s like comparing apples and oranges – they were both very different artists and very different entertainers, however, when you watch them both live – you can’t tear your eyes away.

Overall entertainment, Michael. Because Elvis’ movies were dreadful, and Michael’s music videos/short movies were awesome.

And whilst they were both fantastic on stage, I am always more entranced when watching Michael dance, than watching Elvis’ pelvis thrusts.

Michael Jackson. He will be my personal icon forever.

Neither they are both dead from drug abuse. Obviously Elvis was the better entertainer. Michael Jackson was a pervert and a pedophile. Michael Jackson couldn’t even play a guitar.

Personally, I’m a bigger fan of MJ but Elvis is a true legend. Additionally, Elvis was a major inspiration for MJ. A student of the music industry, MJ studied Elvis’ career closely and learned pointers from him on becoming a major star.

No contest. Elvis all the way. Wacko Jacko had boring songs and the same 4 repetitive dance moves, over and over again.
